The best thing that’s ever happened to Dahlonega, Georgia — including the gold rush — is Doc Johnson’s Mountain Music Medicine Show.
After a dozen years of shows at the cozy Holly Theater, a few steps from Dahlonega’s square, Doc and his band of musical desperadoes had their final regular show two years ago.
Now he’s back by popular demand (or to work off fines for what’s really in his magic elixir) for another show on Saturday, November 14th at 8 PM.
Doc’s humor (to be generous) is straight out of an old-tyme radio show, with skits, music and fun for anyone willing to smile they way they used to before the world got so screwy.
For the best fiddle music, popcorn, bad jokes, juicy gossip and a good time with a happy ending — singing I’ll Fly Away — don’t miss this rare presentation.

Doc Johnson (The Magic Elixir Peddler), “Jedge” J. Melvin Hawkins, happy musicians and friendly folks look forward to spending the evening with you for some good-old fun.
