Don’t just tell your in-laws to go jump in a lake — go with them!  There’s room for one and all on New Year’s Day at the Polar Bear Plunge!  The chilly fun takes place at the rowing club at the Lake Lanier Olympic Venue at Clarks Bridge Park at the north end of the lake.

Don’t worry!  You can’t drown (probably) and if you get too cold, somebody will carry or roll you to a warm room where you can take part in the Chili Cookoff!  That’ll get you going!

You won’t be the only crazoid willing to take a dive into Lake Lanier’s non-frigid waters.  You’ll have lots of company!  (That’s a scary thought.)

The annual Polar Bear Plunge is sponsored by the Lanier Canoe & Kayak Club (LCKC), so please sue them, not us, if anything goes wrong.

But, hey!!  What could possibly go wrong simply by jumping into a cold lake?  There aren’t any serpents underwater!  (Probably.)
