Welcome to Lake Lanier

Balus Creek Park is a convenient spot to launch your boat.  Unless they add picnic tables, it’s not a convenient spot for a picnic.

You’ll find abundant parking for your boat trailer and truck.  There’s a bathroom nearby too.

If there are any picnic tables, I haven’t found them.

Balus is a spectacular location to park your car to watch the boats blast by and the sun go down.

Balus Creek is near Flowery Branch and Oakwood, on Lanier’s east side.

Four boat ramps and two floating docks make this a handy launching point to fish the local coves or troll for stripers in deep water.  If you don’t catch anything, don’t worry.  There are dozens of restaurants nearby on Mundy Mill Road.
