It is handy for launching your boat near Lanier Islands.  If your get hands all wormy and gooey from trying to catch fish without success, cruise over to Cocktail Cove.  Drop your anchor there to wash your hands and have some fun in the sun.

The U.S. Army Corps operates 46 park areas around the lake providing, picnicking, campgrounds, boat launching ramps, swimming areas, group picnic shelters and hiking trails.

Consider purchasing an annual pass for unlimited visits to USACE parks on Lake Lanier for twelve months.  That will cut down the $1,825 cost of paying for visits every day of the year.
