Hours of operation are being curtailed at the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) office serving Lake Lanier due to a reduction in staffing at their Shoreline Management Help Desk.
The Help Desk will only operate on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8 AM until 4 PM.
USACE officials strongly encourage you to schedule an appointment during these hours to discuss shoreline issues.
To schedule an appointment, residents may call 770-945-9531. Don’t be afraid to leave a voice-mail message. They will be returned as soon as possible, in the order that they are received.
Please call the Shoreline Management Help Desk if you need information or assistance on permit issues such as:
- reissues
- change of ownership
- violations
- steps
- paths
- rip-rap (not to be confused with “riffraff”)
- any issues that pertain to the public property located along the shoreline of Lake Lanier.
