Lake Lanier’s water level is on the increase following the heavy rains over the weekend. The lake was up by 1.5 feet this morning. The lake is now only 11.7 feet below full pool. This is excellent news for homeowners and business across the lake. Last year the drought caused the number of visitors to the lake to drop, leaving area businesses high and dry. The lake has been getting hefty gains following long dry spells. The lake has a long way yet to go, at least the lake is heading in the right direction! As the days will start to get warmer we hope that we also get ample rainfall to diminish the effects of this long drought.
