When T.E.I. Industries purchased Lan Mar Marina in 2006 they had a vision of transforming the property into a resort community including a hotel, restaurants and a private home community among other amenities as part of a 10-year plan.
The grand opening under the new name “Port Royale Marina” celebrates their progress toward those goals including a new leasing and service center, the Lighthouse at the Port – a 60,000 square foot boating center housing food and drink options, clothing and accessory sales, boat sales and rentals.
There are also 200 more boat slips with more to come, including over 80 houseboat slips with water views.
The multimillion dollar expansion will ultimately include a resort hotel and conference center, cabin rentals, and a 50 home subdivision with private dock access.
T.E.I.’s group of companies include, among others, Park Marina and Wilderness Camp Marina, both on Lake Allatoona, and Park Marine Boating Center in Gainesville.
T.E.I. continues to grow and seek out new opportunities. Currently, T.E.I. and its sister companies enjoy over 4,000 slips and contractual customers with potential growth to 7,000. Company revenues birthed in 1981 totaled $100,000. By the end of 2007, expected revenues will exceed $33MM.
