The Corps of Engineers has just released their prediction for Lake Lanier water levels of the next few weeks. The prognosis is good. The water level will fall around 2 feet by mid-October which is almost exactly the average drop at this time of year.
The prediction also shows how much things have improved since the start of the year:
- Amount below the annual average on January 1st, 2009: 12 feet
- Amount below the annual average on October 15th, 2009: 2 feet
