This annual event is held in honor of the 191 American Soldiers from Georgia, who have “Paid The Ultimate Sacrifice” in the defense of our freedoms in Iraq and Afghanistan since September 11, 2001. The proceeds from this event go to fund scholarships and other programs formed by these soldier’s families in the loving memory of their FALLEN.

SHIRTS
Participant in the 5K & 10K receive a short sleeved tech fiber race tee, and 1K participants will receive a cotton race tee.
(These race tees will list each soldier from Georgia who has died in Iraq and Afghanistan from 2003 to the present.)
AWARDS
- $100 Cash Prizes and Plaques to the top M/F in both the 5K/10K.

- Plaques to the top M/F Masters (40+) and top M/F Grand Masters (50+) in the 5K /10K. Awards to top 3 M/F in 14 different age categories: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.
- 1K Fun Run- Fallen Heroes of Georgia challenge coins to the top 3 boys and girls 12 and under.
DIRECTIONS
The race will be held at Lake Lanier Islands Resort, located at 7000 Lanier Islands Parkway, Buford, GA, 30518. I-85N to Exit 113 I-985N, get off at Exit 8 Lanier Islands Pkwy (formerly Friendship Road) and TURN LEFT, and Lake Lanier Islands Resort is 4.5 miles straight ahead. Once in the Resort, please follow the signs and the volunteer’s instructions.
