The level of Lake Lanier continues to rise, adding almost two feet in just two days. A month ago, it was 4.5 feet lower than it is today.
Meanwhile, Gainesville picked up another .57 of an inch of rain yesterday, bringing the total this week to 5.68 inches and for the new year to 5.92 inches.
Although the lake’s situation is not great, it is much improved over this time last year.
