Shane Watson Guide Service Thursday Report. While the striper fishing was really good yesterday. Today brought some of the best I’ve seen all year on my boat. We caught and released many stripers over 20 pounds today on freelined bluebacks, fished 20-50 feet behind the boat. We fished the main channel and in the mouths of creeks over deep water. The bites were as violent as I have ever seen on the freelines. It was like someone threw a bowling ball in the water and the reels would scream. Our boats also caught a few stripers on leadhead flukes and leadheads with a 3 inch chartruese Fat Albert grub. Overall, today was as good as it gets. We had great weather, great people, and great fishing. It was just one of those days where everything went right. This report is brought to you by Shane Watson Guide Service and Hammond’s Fishing Center. Good Fishing.
