While the housing market in Forsyth County has suffered like everywhere else, it has fared better than most of metro Atlanta. But new construction was a large part of development during the boom years in Forsyth. So it’s no surprise that there are still a fair amount of distressed new construction homes for sale in the county.
At the time of this post, there are 54 homes listed as new construction that are in some state of distressed sale, ranging in price from $199,000 up to $700,000.
While there are many resale homes available at great prices, some home buyers prefer new construction if they can get it; and all buyers want a deal. Bank Owned new construction gives buyers a shot a both.
There are some great options for 3-side brick homes in Marseille, with 3-car garages and un-finished basements, with prices in the $400’s. Or some 5 bedroom / 4 bath brick and frame homes in Castille in the low $400’s.
Copper Creek and Lake Astoria offer a few choices in the $300’s or check out the Villas at Habersham for a 4 bed / 4 bath home with a basement in the low to mid $200’s. And finally, in Blackburn Ridge you can land a brand new ranch on a slab in the $170k – $190k price range.
Of course, purchasing a bank owned property can be a challenging and lengthy process, but if you have the time and are qualified, we can still find you a great value that is move-in ready.
