Had to pass this one along. Been with Active Rain as an Appraiser for a few years now and I have blogged fairly regularly (number 1 spot in my city and county and number 7 spot – slipped a few spots from #5-of all the appraisers on Active Rain) and then one day I get a call from an Appraisal Management Company who came across one of my Blogs:
on the Subject of AMC’s and HUD. If you read my blogs, you will see I am NOT a fan of AMC’s….so this was a surprise. First Word out of their mouth was We are an AMC, but don’t hold that against me, we have to talk, we are different.
That blog was a featured one on Active Rain and this company called me to say: We are looking for someone like YOU who gets it…..We are not like other AMC’s who pay appraisers 1/2 their fee. We pay your fee, but we also want a GOOD appraisal report in return. Funny thing was I singed up with this company a YEAR prior to this call and Nothing…..But the Appraiser Recruiter was searching the Internet for appraisers who really knew the business well and by reading my Active Rain Blogs, she saw I was up to speed on what this crazy business is all about and kind of like the Uncle Sam Poster, they said WE WANT YOU!
So they signed me up again, got me in touch with the powers that be, interviewed me and I started received work the first of this year and it has not stopped since.
The company….. SOLIDIFI www.solidifi.com They are fast becoming one our largest new clients.
So THANK YOU ACTIVE RAIN……IT MAY TAKE SOME TIME….BUT YOU WILL GET NOTICED AND IT WILL MEAN BUSINESS FOR YOU!
