Margaritaville’s Water Park is Open for Business & Play

Folks in Hinckley, Ohio, await the annual return of turkey buzzards to tell when the seasons change. Here in Georgia — America’s most beautiful state — we long for the most wonderful sign that summer has begun. That would be when The Water Park at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands is open for business and play!

Yes, “the water park” needs a more clever name. Even “Savannah the Water Park” (named after one of Jimmy Buffet’s daughters) would be better, in my humble opinion. Nevertheless, it’s the perfect spot for a splash of fun.

A lakeside adventure with fun and exciting rides at all levels on the thrill scale, The Water Park at Lanier Islands has something for everyone, from toddlers to teens and adults. If you love excitement, this is the place for you! Slide down the Black Out in total darkness, race your best pal on dual mats, challenge yourself to heart-pounding drops and breathtaking vertical plummets or fly across the lake on a zip line. Try them all and then replay your favorites!

(Savanah) the Water Park at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands is more than a name that’s too long for a headline on WordPress. It’s also long on summertime fun for kids of any age.

The Fun Zone is for Little Kids

Located in Paradise Beach, the Family Fun Zone is water-play central. There’s a lot to keep the little ones entertained.

Try Wiggle Waves — the junior version of our Wild Waves wave pool! They’re mini water slides that give big-kid thrills and special sprinkler features.

If your children aren’t tired enough for bed, let them build sandcastles on the beach on Lake Lanier.

Wild Waves Wave Pool

That’s the perfect description for this Grampa-Approved adventure.

Kids and parents alike will enjoy cooling off at Wild Waves, Georgia’s largest wave pool.

Wade into the shallow end or grab a tube, jump in and ride the waves — every wave is more exciting than the last one.

Super-sized swells make it seem like your playing in ocean waves!

Blackout!

Blackout

Are your kids afraid of the dark? This watery thrill might (or might not) cure them once and for all!

Send them down the totally dark slide into joyous oblivion!

After a few hundred trips down this twisty, turny, plummeting slide, your kids might never again need a night light — especially if you install water slides in their bedrooms.

Take time for the Twister, Raging River and Splash Down before swooshing down the big-kid rides. Or save them all for another day of delight at The Water Park at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands.

Double Down!

Double Down

Feeling competitive?

This double-lane slide doubles the fun with the chance to team up with a partner and race to the end for the championship of the world!

Parents (at least the fun ones) are allowed to show their whippersnappers how cool — and how fast — they are in side-by-side races.

Please Note: Kids, never forget who might help you pay for college. Parents, never forget who will pick your nursing home. Thank you.

CAT 4 — The Big One

CAT 4

CAT 4 is a water slide that’s the biggest and the best!

Swish and swirl your way down the hilltop drop that zooms over the Chill Zone and across Paradise Beach — before happily dumping you into Lake Lanier!

Bring your best friends. That way you can have competitions racing on the four side-by-side lanes all the way to the finish. (You’ll win, of course.)

Too tame? Pffft. Wait until you see the bubbles!

There’s so much more to tell you about The Water Park at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands that it won’t all fit on the internet. So, see it for yourself!
