School’s out for the summer. Now, you’ll have plenty of time to answer every imaginable question from your tykes — over and over — for the next month or so. Break the monotony and hang out with other parents at Don Carter State Park on Lake Lanier on Toddler Tuesdays!
On the last Tuesday in June and July, you’re welcome to share your little bundles of joy with other people’s kids — although your children will probably be smarter, sweeter and the most friendly.
Five bucks will buy you two hours of fun and joy!
Your little ones will probably enjoy it too.
The staff at Don Carter State Park — a few miles north of the Lake Lanier Olympic Park on the Chattahoochee River — will play games, do crafts and teach lessons on how to discover nature!
They ask parents to bring plenty of water for your family and any snacks they would enjoy. Everyone will need sunscreen. The lovely white-sand beach will probably be too hard to resist, so pack a few blankets and beach toys too.
This probably hasn’t crossed your mind, but you might want to connect with your friends who have kids and meet them there. For two hours … in a lovely park … while trusted rangers and rangerettes answer your kids’ questions about who named that color yellow or why clouds don’t fall from the sky.
