Montaluce Winery and Restaurant in Dahlonega

Montaluce Winery and Restaurant in Dahlonega is celebrating its 10th anniversary.  I finally made my first visit there.  Better late than never to experience their exquisite surroundings and offerings.

Since opening in April of 2008, Montaluce has earned quite a reputation for their wines and much more.  My visit was the result of meetings held there by local and state travel associations.  They chose the spot for their meeting … wisely.

Northeast Georgia is the stomping grounds of many attractive wineries.

Our mountains are perfect for everything … including growing grapes for several varieties of wines.

The restaurant at Montaluce has simply gorgeous views in an elegant room overlooking the vineyards and a stately pond.

The menu varies from Shrimp & Grits to Prime Rib to Fresh Trout to Rabbit.

The Sunday Brunch at Montaluce Winery and Restaurant is very popular.  You would be wise to make reservations in advance.

Here’s how they describe themselves

Montaluce Winery & Restaurant is a breathtaking destination that uses wine, food, and events to create experiences you’ll want to have again and again.

One person who knows as much about travel in Northeast Georgia as anyone gushed about Montaluce’s signature Chef’s Delight.

A sumptuous combinations of havarti grilled cheese, house made truffle honey and tuscan tomato soup.  Not just like your mother made.

Personally, I’m going for the Hand Cut Filet, please, replete with montaluce home fries, poached egg, red wine demi-glace (GF).

For your next family or corporate event, wedding or the perfect spot to pop the question, make Montaluce Winery and Restaurant your first and best choice.

The only poor choice you can make regarding Montaluce is to wait ten years to visit.
