The 2018 Spring Chicken Festival in Gainesville, Georgia

What proves that Gainesville, Georgia, is the Poultry Capital of the Whole Dang World?  The 2018 Spring Chicken Festival, of course.

Where else would a city fire up almost four tons of chicken, along with at least five tons of music and fun, but on the Square in Gainesville!

This is “Georgia’s only official Chicken Cook Off!”
Last year, more than 7,000 pounds of chicken were cooked and consumed on the Downtown Square.
2018 is shaping up to be another great festival featuring cook teams competing for the coveted Chicken Cup, live music and entertainment and the Re-Hatched Artist Market featuring art creations made from repurposed, green or upcycled materials.

Spring for the $6 Cluck Card that allows you to taste 10 ample samples of delicious chicken.  Then, vote for your favorite!  The profits raised from the festival will go to scholarships for students entering into the poultry or related fields.

It all takes place on Saturday, April 28, 2018 on the Square from 10 AM until 4 PM.  You’ll never truly get to know our marvelous city until you spend a day at the Spring Chicken Festival.

Come for the chicken.  Stay for the music, arts and crafts … and more chicken!
