There are roughly 60 parks on Lake Lanier that are maintained by the USACE, various counties, a city or two, the State of Georgia and Lake Lanier Islands.  We’re thankful for Nick Baggett for sorting out the dates of operation for the 2018 season.

Army Corps campgrounds at Bolding Mill and Sawnee are open 12 months a year.

These campgrounds 0pen on Thursday, March 29th:

  • Bald Ridge
  • Duckett Mill
  • Old Federal
  • Toto Creek
  • Van Pugh South

If you visit parks frequently, consider getting a money-saving annual pass.  There isn’t one pass that gets you into every park, but the USACE pass comes close.

Most USACE day-use parks are open all year.  Seasonal day-use parks will reopen on April 1st for the 2018 season.

Keep this list handy for details on when your favorite park will close for the year.

It might be September 16th, September 29th or Sunday, October 21, 2018.

Contact information for two dozen more parks and campgrounds is also listed in the link below.
