Join us for our Annual Thru Hiker Season Kick Off Party!
Each year as thru hikers begin their North Bound journeys to Maine, we host a party with live music, food, fun for the whole family, a gear raffle and gear demonstrations by outdoor product companies.
This year’s fun includes live music, a s’mores making station and hotdogs on the grill, face painting and a scavenger hunt for the kiddos and so much more!
We will hold a gear raffle benefiting the Southern Appalachian Wilderness Stewards (SAWS). Gear will include anything from daypacks, hydropacks, clothing, water bottles, cookware and much, much more.
Raffle Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased at Mountain Crossings, on the day of the event or by mailed checks. It is not necessary to be present to win, but you must retrieve your items from Mountain Crossings at a later time. We will also have numerous outdoor vendors that will have their own booths and prizes!
Come join Mountain Crossing at the historic Walasi-Yi Center for a day of reveling in the mountains and celebrating the vibrant culture of the Appalachian Trail!
