USACE Extends Review Period for Final EIS & WCM

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District Public Affairs Office District Web Site Administrator Lorraine Sutton Evans — who possibly has the world’s longest title — says the State and Agency review period for the Final Environmental Impact Statement and Master Water Control Manual for the Apalachicola-Chattahoochee-Flint River Basin has been extended.

The Master Manual includes appendices for individual projects in the ACF Basin and is the guide used by USACE to operate a system of five federal reservoir projects in the basin.  This project culminates an update that began in 1988.

“We received several requests from Federal, State and interest groups to extend the review period to allow them more time to review and prepare comments on the documents,” said Public Affairs Officer E. Patrick Robbins. “The State and Agency review period now ends on February 1, 2017.”
