Magical Nights of Lights is here to stay!
Magical Nights of Lights is here to stay!

We all make mistakes.  Even Lanier Islands made one.

Ford failed with the Edsel (named after Henry Ford’s son).  Steve Jobs failed with the Lisa computer (named after his daughter).  Coca-Cola failed with “New Coke.”

Lake Lanier Islands messed up when they cut back on their beloved Magical Nights of Lights in 2014.

They removed holiday displays held in sacred honor by generations of families who visited yearly.

And the people complained.

Lanier Islands said, “Ooops!”

So, they’re restoring the Magical Nights of Lights and the original holiday driving tour – with miles of magically twinkling lights.

It’s part of the “all new Winter Adventure” at Lanier Islands beginning on November 20, 2015.

Bless their hearts!

Lanier Islands CEO Mike Williams said, “Thanks to the resounding pleas from our biggest fans to restore our much-loved Magical Nights of Lights to its former glory, we are delighted to bring them a ‘drive down memory lane’ as many of their favorite animated holiday light displays return to the resort.”

And the people rejoiced!

Magical Nights of Lights will run nightly, including holidays, from November 20 until January 3, 2016.

A live nativity also returns (by popular demand) on select evenings, sponsored by local churches.

Thanks, Lanier Islands!
