Robinson Park is one of almost 50 pretty parks created by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers when Buford Dam went into service in the early 1950s.
Lake Lanier was constructed for flood protection, power production, water supply and navigation.
It’s easy to forget how fortunate we are to have so many locations around Lake Lanier with picnic tables, grills, boat ramps and restrooms for our enjoyment.
Visitors certainly appreciate our wonderland. The Corps estimates that more than 7.5 million visitors enjoy Lanier annually.

Directions to Robinson Park
- Take Dawsonville Highway (Route 53) to Sardis Road.
- Turn onto Lynncliff Drive and go 1.5 miles.
- Turn right onto Davis Bridge Road and travel about a third of a mile.
- Turn left onto Robinson Road.
- The park will be down yonder on your right.
