There’s a new way to enjoy Lake Lanier’s scenic beauty: camping at any of Van Pugh South Campground’s 55 delightful and picturesque sites.
Water and electric hookups are available at 37 sites.
There are 18 “primitive” tent-only spots. (Primitive in this case meaning you must walk more than 20 feet for pure water, showers and laundry facilities, as compared to being in the wilderness where it’s you against vicious lions, tigers, bears and strangers playing banjos.)
Van Pugh South Campground is open through Labor Day Weekend 2012.
The campground is expected to reopen next year from March 6 through November 23, 2013.

Anyone can find fun, rest or find excitement on Lake Lanier.
