Full Moon Paddling at Don Carter State Park

Yes, friends, here’s a once-in-a-lunar-cycle opportunity!  Sign up now for the Full Moon Paddling at Don Carter State Park on Lake Lanier.

Bring a willing friend and paddle together on Sunday, June 19, 2016, from 8:30 PM until about 10:30.

Enjoy a relaxing paddle on Lake Lanier led by a naturalist (the type that keeps their clothes on in public) as the full moon reflects off the water.  That way, you can see anything totally creepy that jumps out of the depths of Lake Lanier to scare you.  Which probably won’t happen.

Kids must be at least eight years old.  Adults too, probably.  Space is limited, so register in advance.  If you dare.

Meet at the boat ramp.  Bring a flash light, insect repellent and water.  And don’t be afraid … because … nothing can go wrong.

Probably.

If it’s cloudy, still gonna paddle? You mentioned clothing. As it will be dark, will it be OK if we skinny dip?

… And don’t we need to be concerned about the North American snipes? A few have been spotted in that part of the lake after dark. They don’t eat people often, but that screeching cry is kinda spooky.
