Since Halloween, wet weather has raised Lake Lanier more than three feet.  Those storms rained out picnics and the original opening date for Winter Adventure and the Magical Nights of Lights at Lanier Islands, according to Lanier Islands Vice-President of Hospitality Grier Todd and Director of Marketing Cindy Wahl.

Winter Adventure at Lanier Islands now opens on Winter White Friday, November 27th.

“There will be new adventures everywhere you turn!  Tall slides with ‘crash bag’ landings and TRIPLE zip lines where riders can race their friends,” explained Cindy Wahl.

Cindy says, “Winter Adventure visitors will enjoy the most prominent new addition of all: the Spectacular Screen!  It is 46’x 80’ of high-definition digital awesomeness.”

Knockerball! Because ... oh, why not!
Winter Adventure with Knockerball! Because … oh, why not!

We’ll see and hear “traditional holiday shorts, family fun, music and Christmas and adventure experiences … to make the LanierWorld beachside theater complete.”

Too tame?  Give Knockerball a twirl!  You won’t just have a ball, you’ll be the ball, rolling around the beach bouncing one another silly.

Stay calm with the Bubble Skating Rink.  It’s FILLED with bubbles for a fresh twist on an old classic and lots of slippery, slick and spectacular delight.  Dress warmly or splurge on Tyvek coveralls for extra comfort.

Or enjoy the relaxing six-mile tour of Magical Nights of Lights at Lanier Islands.
