“This summer, you’re getting a job! And I mean it!”  You’ve heard those words so many times, you’re starting to believe you-know-who really means it.  If you have to go to work, you might as well work at Lake Lanier Islands.  They’re hiring workers to fill 500 jobs.  The best part?  They PAY you to come to the Islands!

Work doesn’t come in many flavors.  Most people hate their jobs and would rather get a root canal than spend another day getting paid to do something that sucks the life out of them.  If you have to go to work, you might as well work at Lake Lanier Islands.

Even if you’ve never had a job before and your greatest achievement is the time you killed 8,458,203 Zorkons in a video game, they’ve got something for you to do at the Islands.  LanierWorld, for example, needs people to tend to the ticket booths, waterslides, lifeguard stands, beaches, docks, restaurants and boardwalk shops.

That doesn’t count the people they need to work at the golf course, stables, zip-lines, hotels, docks and the cuties they hire to beautify the resort (some restrictions apply).

Director of Human Resources for Lanier Islands Sandra Grindy says, “We are very proud to be one of Hall County’s larger employers.  As a major provider of Southern Hospitality here in Georgia, we feel familiar smiling faces are extremely reassuring to our returning guests and biggest fans. To that end, some of our team members who join us this Spring and Summer will be invited to be an integral part of SnowWorld when it returns during the holiday and Winter seasons at the end of this year.”

Don’t worry.  You don’t have to write like that to work there.  But you do have to show up — on time — actually do your job, get along with people who aren’t exactly like you, abandon your smart phone for HOURS at a time (remember, you’re being paid), and be prepared to sweat, break a nail, get your hair mussed up or actually touch something that might possibly be dirty.
