Greater Hall Chamber’s 2015 Economic Development Report

GHCCOur friends at the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce — based in Gainesville, GA, on the shores of Lake Lanier — released its 2015 Economic Development Report on January 27th.

This annual report outlines economic development activity in Gainesville-Hall County that identifies our area as one of the top performing communities in Georgia and the nation.

Vice President of Economic Development for the Greater Hall Chamber Tim Evans says, “Gainesville-Hall County had 24 new and expanded businesses announce 1,300 new jobs and a committed $150 million in capital investment in 2014.  Global firms expanding their North American business include King’s Hawaiian, Jinsung TEC, Kubota, Big Creek Foods, Tatsumi, Elringklinger and Innobots.”

Gainesville-Hall County continues to have robust activity in retail development, healthcare services and tourism, in addition to growing and expanding industries.  Housing permits in Gainesville, for example, reached an all-time high, while educational institutions hit top enrollment numbers.

The 2015 Economic Development Report includes updates on Retail, Housing, Infrastructure, Business, Population, Healthcare, Education, Redevelopment, Tourism and the Chamber’s VISION 2030 and HALLmark initiatives that support economic development.
