The Dawson County Office of Tourism Development brings you tidings of 40% discounts on lodging at Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge — in the shadow of Springer Mountain and the Appalachian Trail — that don’t expire until Thursday, February 26, 2015.
The lodge was already fabulous years ago when I stayed there. Then, they perked it up and made it even nicer.
The buffet served at the lodge is suitable, in my humble, for even the most persnickety foodie (unless they’re just whiners who can’t be pleased with anything less than Wolfgang Puck’s finest).
Please Note: What kind of parents name their kid “Wolfgang”? Is that like a “Boy Named Sue” thing to Austrians? Thank you.

You’ll both love staying at Amicalola Falls State Park! They even have a real waterfall! A big sucker that is 729 feet tall with a path and/or ladder alongside. There’s always something fun going on at Amicalola Falls.
