I know.  You don’t believe me, right?  You’re saying that “free sailboat in Lake Lanier” headline cannot be true.

You remember my story about authorities caving to “politically correct pressure” and changing the name of Buford Dam to Buford Dang.

I fooled you with that story about beards being banned on the Appalachian Trail to cut down on tick-borne diseases.

This isn’t April Fool’s Day.  This story is true!

Mostly.

According to Lake Lanier Association Executive Director Joanna Cloud the owner of this formerly new sailboat is willing to give it away to a new home.  Delivery not included.

OK.  It needs a bit of work.  The owner says that the sailboat is fully functional when it’s floating upright.

Somebody is going to breathe new life into this sleek craft’s sails!  Why not you?
