The Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club has more good news for us.
They’ll be hosting the Canoe Kayak Canada National Team Trials during the weekend of April 25th through the 27th at the Lake Lanier Olympic Venue.
The races will begin at 8:30 AM. Friday and Saturday’s races will continue until around 5 PM. On Sunday, races are expected to end in the early afternoon.
Folks who attend this event will witness some of the world’s top paddlers competing at the site of the 1996 Olympics for positions on the 2014 Canadian National team.
The event is free to spectators. People who root for the athletes are especially appreciated.
