Then the Rains Came to Lake Lanier

glassSeriously.  Did you ever believe we’d see Lake Lanier this full so soon?

Amazing.

January 1, 2013’s level was 1058 — twelve feet below 1070, the full-pool level for winter on Lake Lanier.

February 1st we hit 1063.34.  Then, March 1st took us up to 1066.94 — a jump of 3.6 feet in one month.

Our beloved lake has risen more than 9.7 feet since December first.

To me, these are more than statistics.  They’re like a rainbow after a storm.

We prayed for rain.  The rains came.  Abundantly.

We have reason to be thankful and to have hope for the future.
